The owners’ hospitality and the peace and quiet are why we keep coming back. The resort is right on the ocean, with beautiful views, a clean and tidy feel, new dive gear, and a great pool. The owner really knows his way around a kitchen too, his Hong Kong hot pot is the best ever. It’s about 10 minutes from the bustle of Alona Beach, and transport is easy to find. If you’re into diving and want to get away from overpriced, crowded areas, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

It’s a relaxed place for diving, whether you’re already a diver or trying it for the first time. The rooms are standard but quite newly renovated. Breakfast is included, and you can also have lunch and Chinese dinner, so there’s no need to leave the resort while working on your diving license. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Alona Beach is about 15 minutes away by TriCab, and a small convenience store is roughly a 15-minute walk. Dinner costs 1,000 pesos per person, which some may consider too much. The owner cooks it himself, and we found it delicious, so the price seemed okay to us.

I can’t speak to the diving course, but snorkeling in front of the resort costs 150 php, plus the 100 php environmental fee, which I’m fine with for conservation. The reef is beautiful. Still, the entry charge being higher than the environmental fee doesn’t make sense to me. I’d be happy to pay if that extra money also went toward conserving the area, but so far it doesn’t seem to. It feels like a way to make money from tourists who just want to reach the sea and enjoy nature, which should be public.

There are facilities for at least 20 divers, and they even have a huge boat of their own. A whale shark visits the area where the resort is located 😊. The owner, Andy, is very helpful and knowledgeable.

My husband and I really liked it as a place to eat, sleep, and dive, with the option of heading out to dive whenever you like. We stayed six days and did eight dives. The view was very nice, the staff were nice, and the equipment and boat were all quite new. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and the food is mainly Chinese-style and very yummy. It isn’t close to the busy Alona Beach area. A tricycle takes around 15-20 minutes to get there for other food and shops, and costs about 250-300 pesos each way.
