ARK Hostel City Center Manila

I stayed here for over a month and had stable Wi-Fi, especially useful for my online classes. The room was clean, the staff were accommodating, and there's a convenience store on the ground floor. Security guards are on duty 24/7 and pay close attention to guest safety. Laundry is available at a reasonable price too. I'd recommend it for solo travelers or groups of friends.

It's basically a dressed-up dormitory, and the marketing photos shouldn't fool you. You get what you pay for: it's passable for backpackers, though it seems aimed more at seafarers staying near OWWA. The caretaker had me put the bed cover on the mattress, and the bathrooms were pretty dingy.

I stayed in this dorm while taking care of my OWWA benefit, and I'd recommend it to seafarers and OFWs like me. It's clean and secure, with free Wi-Fi and drinking water. They have acoustic nights in the building every weekend, which felt cozy and relaxing. The rooftop view while listening to the singer was a nice touch.

I needed somewhere to stay for 24 hours in an emergency because transport back to my province was limited, and it cost 300 pesos. The area was clean, and the night staff during my visit was nice and answered my questions, including over the phone. The facilities aren't four or five star, but they're clean and acceptable for the price. I'd recommend it for anyone needing a place near Gil Puyat LRT station or the Buendia bus terminals.
