I had a Booking.com reservation beginning June 16, but personal circumstances I couldn't foresee meant I couldn't travel. I contacted them ahead of time to cancel and explain, hoping they'd be flexible or offer at least a partial refund. They turned down my request and charged me the full amount. I knew the booking was non-refundable, but I was still disappointed that they made no allowance for a genuine emergency. If your plans might change unexpectedly, be cautious about booking a non-refundable rate.

The bed sheets and covers at Eric Apartment Sea Residences in Mall of Asia smelled awful and badly needed washing. The furniture was worn, including the cabinets and chairs, and no water was provided, which was inconvenient. The sofabed was worn out too. I tried adjusting to the other side to find a comfortable sleeping position, but that didn't help. The unit's condition fell short of what I expected. Hopefully they'll fix these problems for future guests, but I can't recommend it as it is now.
