Selah Lofts Pasay Quarantine Hotel

From the 11th floor, there's a nice view, two swimming pools, and the Sky Cafe for meals. The rooms were clean and had the basics we needed, plus mineral water with hot and cold options and a microwave in the hallway. The hallways get a bit dark at night, though you can still see well enough. It's handy for travelers, less than 15 minutes from NAIA Terminal 1, with reception open around the clock and friendly, helpful staff. We got soaked in the rain because the parking in front isn't covered.

The cheap loft rooms are so cramped they're only suitable for people under five feet tall. You can't even sit upright in bed because there's a wall overhead. The deposit they ask for is ridiculous too. I'd skip this and look for somewhere better.

We picked this hotel for its location near PICC, where my husband had a convention. Being in the metro makes it accessible, and convenience stores right outside are handy. There’s a restaurant on the second floor, and they also offer massage services. But the room looked old and rusty, nothing like the website photos, so anyone particular about that may not like it. It was cheap, though other condo rentals at the same price looked more presentable. Parking costs ₱100 a day, and the security guard handled an incident poorly. Another car hit ours in the lot, and we weren't told straight away. Luckily they recognized the driver because he parks there regularly. If he had been a guest, we might never have found out about the accident.

We paid ₱2500, and breakfast only covered two people. One cornsilog cost ₱350. The room was tiny, maybe 2m x 7m, with a bathroom around 1m x 1m that smelled awful, like someone had dumped shit in it. After staying in Da Nang, Vietnam for about ₱1,500 a night, with two king-size beds, a large bathroom with its own bathtub, and buffet breakfast for four, I couldn't help comparing.
