The Mabuhay Manor

The location worked well for us, with MOA and the airport nearby and shops within walking distance. The street itself can feel a bit sketchy, though. Breakfast was decent, the suite was a good size, and the Wi-Fi was okay. The staff were nice, but I wasn't a fan of the wooden decor. The bed was very hard, the bathroom tiny, and the shower head didn't work right.

For a cheap hotel, the location is hard to beat: it's next to the airport and among the markets, handy for shopping or an airport stopover. The place is a bit run down, and plane noise is really loud, so try for a lower floor. The rooms are a decent size but don't come with a view, and our window wouldn't open. The air conditioning worked after I cleaned the filter. Our TV had fuzzy, static channels, but we weren't there to watch TV anyway. There's a big pool that was rarely busy, so getting a swim was easy. Breakfast sounds appealing and may be free or inexpensive, but there isn't much variety and the food quality is a bit poor. I wouldn't pay extra for it, though it was bearable when free. For the price, it's a good, cheap hotel in a central spot.

The Baclaran shopping turned out to be a treat. The malls were close enough to walk to, and I hadn't realized there was so much to see and buy. Our family had a relaxing weekend in a team room. It was clean and spacious, the beds were firm, and there was plenty of cabinet space. The Filipino food was yummy, and the staff were friendly. I'm excited to do it again.

The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed, and the rate was good. Food felt expensive, though: dinner for one cost 700 and breakfast was 350. The airport ride offered by the hotel would have been 480, so I took an Uber for 140 instead. Still, it was a good experience overall.
