Coco Beach Island Resort

My favorite thing at Coco Beach is the fine restaurant on stilts above the beach, up in the forest canopy. It's covered but open to the air, and it turns slowly. You can take in the ocean view, then about 20 minutes later be facing the other way, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the tropical forest. I've never seen anything else like it, and after many trips to the Philippines, I think it has the best steak anywhere. The resort brings together natural beauty and comfort. Its lush gardens and pools are well maintained, and the staff are friendly and efficient. You can visit for the day to enjoy the food and recreation, or stay in one of several comfortable, native-style lodgings. Options range from a bamboo hut with a mosquito net and ceiling fan to a modern, air-conditioned condo. Guests can also take island-hopping and snorkeling trips. There's even a separate pool for people who want more privacy and a break from noisy kids. The rates seem reasonable for the experience. I can't wait to go back.

Loved the views, and the free snorkeling was really fun. The food was just okay, though, and the bungalow heat was stifling with only a small fan. The booking site never mentioned that, so I felt stuck. I'll come back, but book a room in the Heritage center next time. It's pricier, but that's the only building with AC.

A beautiful resort with nice rooms. The beachfront is full of amazing corals and lots of fish, and if you're lucky, you might spot a turtle. Staff are very kind and always smiling, though a bit slow. Definitely recommend it for honeymooners or a romantic retreat.

The people here are lovely, and the views around the resort are breathtaking. It was such a peaceful place to wake up to birdsong and waves. A great spot if you want to unwind.
