Citystate Asturias Hotel Palawan

It was really quiet, yet close to things to do in town. The rooms are big, with plenty of room to shower and a tub as well. We didn't have time to try the pool or other amenities, though the pool looked very nice. A great place to stay in Puerta Princessa!

I spent three nights here last week as a stopover for my Balabac islands getaway, and have only good things to say about the stay. The staff, front desk, and guards were all courteous and respectful. My room was clean, and the pool and gym were convenient to use. The location is very good too, within walking distance of Robinsons Mall, with Chowking, Jollibbee, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, and Pancake House along the way. There was one small mix-up: a staff member woke me while I was napping, thinking I was checking out, even though I still had one more day. I called the front office to sort it out. It was an honest mistake, but I hope they take care next time to avoid disturbing guests during afternoon naps. Even so, I'd seriously consider staying at Citystate Asturias Hotel again if I visit Puerto Princesa in the future. Thank you, good job!

The hotel made my first trip to Palawan comfortable, and I had a great stay at CityState Asturias Hotel Palawan last October 14-17. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the friendly, attentive staff did a good job. Housekeeping kept our room tidy, the food service was good, and the transpo service was convenient. My assigned room was a bit of a trek from the entrance, which was inconvenient, although being close to our venue made things easier. The hotel is some distance from the city proper, but a mall, some famous store brands, and a church where I am affiliated with were within walking distance. For a laid-back stay with access to some amenities, it could be a good choice. I'd recommend it for a comfortable stay, as long as you plan around the location.

We couldn’t sleep for even a minute. We arrived late, checked in, and as soon as we sat on the bed both of us started itching badly. The room smelled strongly of mould, the fridge stank as if something had died in it, and the bathroom was in bad shape. I asked reception if we could move to a better room because there was no way we could sleep there. They said the place was fully booked. When my agent called, though, there were plenty of rooms available. We moved at around 11pm, but the new room wasn’t much better. It was too late to find somewhere else, so we stayed. Breakfast choices were limited, and the receptionists kept staring at us after we were honest about the rooms. One of the worst places I’ve stayed.
