Go Hotels Puerto Princesa

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I really liked the food at the in-house café, especially the carbonara at dinner and the tocilog for breakfast. There are plenty of places to eat and shop around Robinsons Mall, about 20 minutes from downtown. A quicker check-in and a few more breakfast choices would improve things, but I had a great stay.

For $25 a night, this worked perfectly for a quick stop after arriving in Puerto and again before our flight back to Manila. It's only five minutes from the airport, has free parking, and the big mall is a two-minute walk away. We could find food nearby even late at night at jollibee or chowking. The rooms are simple and show their age, and the appliances aren't the best. The breakfast place on the premises was a little overpriced for what it served. Still, I can highly recommend it for an overnight stay during a round trip around Palawan.

The hotel is clean, convenient, and reasonably priced, with friendly, helpful desk staff. I've stayed five times, for between two and six days each visit, and they've helped with my bags from the curb to my room at any hour. It's not a five-star place, and it doesn't pretend to be. I have no complaints, though the food is just OK. With the mall next door offering so many more places to eat, I wouldn't choose the breakfast deal.

The location is convenient, but after three stays in eight weeks, I've had the same problems in three different rooms. The internet is terrible everywhere, and the Wi-Fi barely reaches through the door. Phones are missing or don't work, and the cable TV doesn't work either. The TV itself is shoebox-sized, lol. The bathroom floor doesn't slope toward the drain, and I nearly slipped and fell on my back. Too many recurring issues.
