Holiday Suites Puerto Princesa

Mila C deserves a special thank you. I left something behind, and she found it, kept me updated, and arranged to ship it back. Her kindness and quick help made a stressful situation much easier. The rest of the stay was great too. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities. Everyone on staff was friendly, professional, and helpful from check-in through checkout. I’d highly recommend the hotel and plan to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast had plenty of choices, and the food at the Flamingo Social Bar was absolutely great, kudos to the cook. The staff were warm and welcoming too. It’s right beside Robinsons Mall and across from Starbucks. You can leave your luggage here for up to three days at no extra cost if you’re off on a Balabac trip. The reception can also arrange van transfers from Puerto Princesa (PPS) to El Nido. I highly recommend it.

The mall next door makes the location really convenient, with a supermarket and lots of restaurants close by. Room service was a letdown, though. We ordered chips, coconuts, and tiramisu, and waited 50 minutes. The chips arrived completely cold, and the tiramisu was the worst I’ve ever had. It barely had any cream and tasted like sponge cake that had been left in the fridge for months.

Robinson's Place, Pancake House, and Starbucks are only a short walk away, so the pricey room service wasn’t an issue for us. We’d go nowhere else. For Aussies, it costs less than an Australian hotel room and is still better than most. The suites gave my big husband plenty of room. He said, “As a foreigner, I'm not afraid to brush my teeth or shower in that room”. There’s space to unpack and spread out your luggage, toiletries, and shopping. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, with all the toiletries and good water pressure. All the staff were kind and accommodating. Vanessa at reception was especially thoughtful after she realized we’d just come from a sic-hour drive from El Nido. Aminah Spa felt a bit dingy, though the massage rates are quite a steal. And it’s a little embarrassing to admit when you’re used to certain comforts, but Hue won’t disappoint a foreign traveller.
