After staying in lots of places across the Philippines, this one caught me by surprise. It’s on a quiet street with a private area, and has everything you need for a longer stay. I was only there for one day, so barely got to use anything. I wish there were more places like this on the islands, especially in tourist areas where places often offer less for more money.

I spent four days there with a friend. It was quiet and laid-back, and the staff were lovely. They helped us get bikes and arranged a barbecue with friends we met in Puerto. The two cats were very affectionate. Mosquitoes were the one downside, though that’s to be expected on a tropical island like Palawan. Definitely recommend!

We stayed in the apartment, which is in an extension outside the pension house’s main premises. It had a TV, ref, mini kitchen, water dispenser, aircon room and balcony. The staff were quick to bring an extra fan, spare key or bottle opener when we asked. They also have an electric iron you can use for a charge of 20 per clothing item. Breakfast was served quickly, and we placed our orders ahead of time. The staff were very accommodating, the pool was great, and the place felt homey. They don’t change towels every day, or maybe you have to ask.

A very pleasant place to stay before a flight. After three weeks in the Philippines, hot water felt like a luxury. The bedding and towels were clean, and the staff were friendly.
