Palawan Seaview Resort

The rooms are nice, and the staff are friendly, though they don't hurry to get their work done. The food and cocktails are terrible. The beach isn't suitable for swimming at all, just stand surf, which is boring as hell. I wouldn't recommend this place, though it might be the lesser evil choice in Puerto Princesa.

Tours were handled really well, and it was an easy place to relax between outings. The resort is close enough to town, and arranging the booking and tours was simple even though I was new to doing it. Our treehouse room was a fun, unusual stay right near the shore. There isn't much beach, but waking up to the gentle waves was lovely. We were there for my husband's birthday, so I arranged a small surprise in advance. They took care of my requests and added a few thoughtful touches. The staff were great. The menu didn't have many options while we were there, though it's easy enough to go out. Breakfast was pretty standard.

The sea view was lovely, even though swimming from the shore wasn't possible, and my daughter was happy in the pool. The water was always warm and the pool didn't smell of chlorine. The resort itself was clean, and our room was spacious and very clean, with hot water and cable. They cleaned it twice during our stay. There was no Wi-Fi, but our own pocket Wi-Fi got a good signal. The Dangkalan staff made things easy from booking through checkout. Our airport pickup was on time, and the driver suggested places to eat and took us to one of the best restaurants in Palawan. They arranged our tours well, so we didn't have to worry about them. We loved our three days there and highly recommend it.

The staff were welcoming and easy to deal with, especially Sir Eric. Our room was comfortable, and between the beachfront, pool, and treehouse, there was plenty to enjoy without wanting to leave. The food was okay. There are lots of restaurants around town if you'd rather eat out. We had a great stay and I'll be back.
