The city center is nearby and easy to reach, but I didn’t find much else impressive. The room size is fair for the price, though the bed linen and pillow smelled so strongly of fabric conditioner that it was unpleasant. The property is called a hotel, but to me it seemed more like a pension house or semi-homestay. When there are no guests, the receptionist sits on the lobby sofa, then handles check-in and walks guests to their rooms. At night, a male staff member sits and sleeps on that same sofa as the night shift person. The doors are locked after midnight, so guests have to wake him if they need to get in. There’s also a dog on the roof deck that howls from dawn, making an eerie sound until you get used to it.

It’s an affordable, convenient base for exploring Puerto Princesa and the surrounding area. Breakfast on the roof deck comes with a lovely view, especially at sunrise.

The rooms and sheets were clean, and the A/C worked well. The building was quiet, and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the airport. Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, but we could use it from the lobby couch. They also offer massage services.

Our air-conditioned room slept four and had two bunk beds, a T&B, TV, and Wi-Fi. It was clean, and I loved the large roof deck with its chilling area and airport view. Don’t worry, you can’t hear any plane engines.
