Axiaa Hotel

The location is good, but the area around this cheap motel feels sketchy. It’s dirty, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here with kids.

The bed was thick, soft, and really comfortable, and the room was spotless. The hotel is clean and well kept, with plenty of parking in a good location. The price is reasonable too. Wi-Fi is the drawback, since it can be slow and disconnects a lot.

We left after about an hour and gave up the reservation we’d already paid for. The AC never cooled the room, even after we waited a few minutes, and it was warm, dim, and unpleasant. The floor, bathroom, and walls didn’t look properly maintained or clean, although the sheets seemed new. The room also felt uncomfortable because of the poor lighting. The photos online looked very different from what we found in person, and we were disappointed. We’d booked a Superior Room through Agoda but were first given a Twin Bedroom. The staff were accommodating and helped us switch rooms, though check-in was delayed because they were busy with another guest who seemed distressed about a reservation problem. The location is convenient, near a mall, fast food places, and convenience stores, and the hotel has potential. But rooms need to be maintained. A good location doesn’t help if the room is too warm, poorly lit, and unpleasant for getting rest. Maybe the service will improve, but right now I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Just disappointing. :(

The complimentary breakfast was okay, not great and not awful, just coffee and longganisa. They brought it to the room after we woke up. The rooms are spacious and clean, and so are the toilet and shower. Parking is a bit limited, so arriving late could make it hard to find a spot. Good stay otherwise, but picky eaters shouldn’t count on breakfast.
