After 10 years of traveling around Asia, I’ve never found a place like this. The value for money is unmatched! The good points are the water and bedding. The rest was awful: ants everywhere, on the bed, floor and walls, so you’re sleeping with ants; no hot water, even though there’s a heater that isn’t plugged in; and the bathroom floods without draining, leaving ankle-deep water that spreads through the room. The owner seemed disinterested in guests, even dissatisfied, with no communication at all. It was disgustingly loud, with drinking and parties downstairs, and the owner didn’t care. You really don’t feel welcome here. Why pay anyone anything? 🥺 I’ve stayed in places without hot water and with modest furnishings before, but the price matched the conditions. The owner always tried to help as much as he could afford.

The bathroom drain was poorly installed, so after a cold shower the water stood ankle-deep. There was no hot water, and staff said “not yet.” Ants crawled all over the room and bed, and the air conditioning sounded louder than a broken tractor. Without it the room would have been a sauna, but with it, sleeping was out of the question. We spent two nights there and it was a nightmare. Before arriving, I contacted them through booking, WhatsApp and email and got no reply. Staff seemed completely uninterested in guests. People drank and talked loudly all night at the shop outside the rooms, making sleep impossible. When I tried to get out, the only response I got was “close door sir,” and the owners didn’t answer. The value for money was poor, not worth a dollar. The worst swamp I’ve slept in in Asia. I don’t recommend it, it’s a waste of time. The Philippines is not Asia!

We didn’t even move in. At some point you get fed up with paying high prices for bad rooms. It’s right on the street and noisy, and there was no one to talk to who understood you.
