Cala Laiya

From arrival through checkout, everything at Cala Laiya was very satisfactory. The staff were warm, attentive, and accommodating, and our room was clean and comfortable. The facilities were well cared for, and the calm atmosphere made it a lovely place for a peaceful getaway. We also really enjoyed the food. The portions were generous, so sharing plates with family and friends worked well. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Cala Laiya is tucked a little farther away than the other Laiya resorts, which gives it a lovely feel. There are plenty of shaded spots to relax, and the beach is swimmable. Room rates are reasonable when booked online. Buglas Isla resto has very good food, and the staff were warm, knowledgeable, and very accommodating.

The grounds felt peaceful, and the pool was clean. The free daybeds on the beach were a nice bonus. Staff at Cala Laiya worked hard and were friendly, hospitable, and respectful. Our 2-BD unit fit six people, but it felt cramped and there wasn’t much room to put things. Inside, it also felt cold and unwelcoming. The washroom needs an upgrade, from the tiles to the fixtures, and there’s no counter space.

We wanted a beachfront ceremony and reception for our three-day renewal wedding, and Cala Laiya was the only resort that was flexible enough to work with our plans. Other resorts had strict rules even for micro events, while Cala Laiya welcomed our vision for our 40 adult guests. Having the resort to ourselves on the day made everything feel intimate and private. Planning from overseas could have been stressful, but Jhanel, our Cala Laiya coordinator, made the process easy. She was responsive, clear, and helpful throughout. We’re also grateful to Christine from Gigi Events, the resort’s event stylist and coordinator. We shared our vision boards and trusted her to handle the design and work with our chosen suppliers. We weren’t particular about the details, as long as everyone was fed and having a good time, and everything ran smoothly. We stayed three days before and after the event, and all our guests were well looked after. The pre-renewal dinner and post-renewal brunch buffets we requested were delivered as planned, so everyone was well fed. Guests kept asking how we found the resort and organized everything so well from overseas, and many said how beautiful and relaxing the place was. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We’re grateful to the Cala Laiya team, and this will stay among everyone’s core memories. Ambiance: 5/5. Rooms: 4/5. Staff: 6/5.
