Edward really made our stay more fun. He seemed to handle everything in food and drinks, from waiting tables and making coffee to cooking and putting on a very entertaining teppanyaki show. The teppanyaki restaurant needs a reservation. The Mother’s Day weekend restaurants were barely running, with only a few menu choices and not much at the coffee shop, though the coffee itself was decent. The rooms were fantastic, spacious, and the larger ones had a separate toilet and bath plus a small bedroom for extra privacy. Pets are allowed if they wear diapers the whole time. My daughter enjoyed the kiddie playroom, which was the only activity area that seemed well maintained. There’s a lot of potential here for an activity-filled stay, but the pool was murky and stagnant, and swimming in it felt gross. That alone would have brought this up to four stars or more if it were in better shape. The other activities needed upkeep too: there was a go-kart track but no karts, the table tennis gear was barely usable, only one soft archery arrow worked, and one end of the basketball court was higher than the other. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby, and you can also order food through Grab.

The grounds were lovely, with lots of trees and green and blue all around, and I really liked the pool area. The lobby was nice too. From our spacious room for six, with a separate master bedroom for two, we had a beautiful view of Mt. Makiling. Watching sunrise and the moon set was so nice, and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom needs renovation, though, since water pooled on the floor whenever we showered. Our conference room was cool and comfortable. Food service could be better, but the picka picka at our socials was nice. I enjoyed my stay during the seminar!

The rooms felt like they hadn’t been aired or used in a while. I did love the lavender peppermint smell of the toiletries, though. We came for a writing workshop, and the fresh air and cool breeze made the venue a good place to clear your head and write. There are game areas and function rooms for team building, and the restaurant and bar have a relaxed feel.

THE STAFF, INCLUDING THE MANAGER, WERE DISRESPECTFUL. You could be talking with them and they’d suddenly walk away while you were waiting, as if they were too busy and stressed. The doors were another major problem. Their locks didn’t work, and we spent three hours waiting for one to be fixed. The door still wouldn’t lock and could be opened from outside. There didn’t seem to be any maintenance staff or building engineer. And there was no water! We came to get ready for a wedding, but it was one problem after another. We stayed here three years ago, and the service is the worst it’s been now.
