The outdoor toilet and shower had insects, including ants, a caterpillar, and spiders, and flies came around at night with the light on. There’s no aircon, just a stand fan, though they do provide a mosquito net. Breakfast is included but coffee isn’t, and it took 30-45 minutes during my 4 days 3 nights stay. The price per night is reasonable, and the location is good, within walking distance of the Pier. If you want an affordable stay in Siquijor with a nature and jungle feel, I’d suggest this place. Apart from those things, I had a pleasant experience.

The cabins are open, so there may be dust and crawling creatures, and the rooms might not be the cleanest. You’ll also hear the dogs and roosters. But in return you get a warm, welcoming family and wonderfully cute cabins that really feel like a night in the jungle. Each one has its own hammock on the patio. Breakfast is included in the price and was delicious. Animal lovers will enjoy the dogs and cats roaming freely. Book here if you’re after an authentic stay, just don’t expect luxury.

Cramped and rusty, and not worth the price. Nearby hotels are more comfortable and better. There was nowhere to unpack my backpack or luggage, and no wardrobe because there was no spare room space. The toilet was dirty and poorly maintained, with no toilet seat. I couldn’t believe the review saying the bed was small, but it was true. They’d added a patch to the end, and it dangled separately. The towels and sheets were really bad. The hammock was tied too close, so unless you’re short, you have to bend into a U shape to fit your legs. Stretching it would block the front door. The room seems designed for a short person. If you’re even a little tall, you have to crouch to see the mirror while combing your hair. To switch the fan from swinging to still, you have to climb up. The electric hot shower trips every few seconds, and I don’t recommend turning it on with wet hands while bathing. Glad it didn’t rain during my stay. I booked two days but only stayed one.

The location made getting around easy, with the port, town, and bay walk all nearby, and renting a bike through them was simple and affordable. We also loved the delicious breakfast, friendly staff, and the bungalow’s charming look and unusual outdoor shower. Heavy rain did cause problems, though. The open Balinese-style bungalow had a wall open to the elements and a leaky roof, so rain got inside and left the floor and some of our belongings wet. The toilet has no roof, which made trips there during the downpour a mission. The rain brought plenty of bugs too, though the bed’s mosquito net helped. Even with that, we enjoyed the unusual stay and listening to the rain. We’d definitely come back.

We stayed five nights. The place is pretty, breakfast was good, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. It’s also conveniently close to the port. The room was a little dusty, though, and dogs made too much noise at night.
