Amirsache Villa by OYO

We paid in full online before arriving for what was supposed to be a late-night check-in. The property told us they weren't accepting bookings because they were already full, and advised us to cancel. This property is bogus, and now we can't get hold of anyone about the refund.

This worked well as a home base for our family and friends to rest while exploring Tagaytay and its popular restaurants. It's a few meters from the wonderful Bag of Beans. If you're after the usual pool staycation, this isn't that kind of place. For downtime, there's an air hockey table that converts to a small ping-pong table, plus chess and sungka. The staff were helpful, and the owner my wife dealt with was friendly and quick to answer her questions. For the low price, the rooms are stocked with toiletries, the air conditioners worked well, and each bed has at least four pillows. There are five rooms: Room 1 has a king bed and pull-out, rooms 2-4 have double beds with pull-outs, and Room 5 has a double bed and a bunk bed. Each has its own bathroom and heated shower. The kitchen was okay, with plenty of utensils for more than 20 people and a working hot and cold water dispenser. Nearby are Savemore, Mercury Drugstore, 7/11, and Andoks. We did have a few issues. Room 2's heated shower didn't work during our stay, and the fridge felt small for a place that can fit over 20 people. Parking was outside under a tree, and one of our cars was covered in bird poop by the next day. Even with those complaints, it gives you a lot for your money.

For the price, it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

There are establishments within walking distance, and staying close to nature felt refreshing. I'll come back soon with more friends.
