The landscaping is incredible, and the huge swimming pool is right outside the room. My daughter didn't want to leave it the whole time. With the pool in front and the way the resort is laid out, you can spend a couple of days without even getting out of your room area. I loved the property and everything it offers. It's walkable from the airport and about a 15-minute walk from Bohol's best-known beach. They also don't mind guests bringing outside food to eat in the room or on the balcony, which I appreciated since many other Philippine properties have strict no-outside-food-or-drinks rules.

For ₱1,990 a night, we had a good stay at Roman Empire. The view was lovely, and having the pool to use made the visit more relaxing. Just remember that toothbrushes and slippers weren't supplied, so bring your own. They did include complimentary gel polish, which I loved as a fun, unexpected extra. It's good value for the price, especially if a nice view and pool matter to you. A few more essentials would make it better. I'd recommend it and might stay again.

There was plenty to do nearby, with tours running almost every day. The hotel pickups were really convenient, and the drivers were super nice. Roman Empire's restaurant had heaps of food choices and great service. It's not too far from Alona Beach township, and I'd recommend staying here.

The room was great, and the bar staff were great too. But I had to ask loads of times for hot water, and they kept switching it off. Water also leaked constantly through the bathroom walls. I wasn't impressed.

The pool is amazing, right outside the balcony room. The dining areas are very nice and family-friendly, with a wide range of dishes. Staff were polite. And, as my father-in-law said, the women there are beautiful, haha.
