Northern Sapphire Hunza

The staff were kind and very cooperative, but the owner was rude and gave weak explanations for the problems. We stayed in the premium traditional rooms, which were dirty, and the bedsheets had stains. Neither the Muslim shower nor the bath shower worked properly. Electricity and wifi were available only from 7pm to 12am, and the food was really bad. What they charge doesn’t match the service they provide.

The staff were very polite, but the owner was rude and entitled, and seemed to cut costs on everything. The showers, including the Muslim shower, didn’t work, the bedsheets were extremely dirty, and the food was terrible. There was electricity for only 6-7 hours, and the internet barely worked, also only for 6-7 hours. The owner said this was normal in Hunza, even though the hotel charges premium prices. Tour companies should be careful when choosing hotels.

The place was spotless, and both the staff and owners were incredibly hospitable. It felt almost like home, easily the best stay I’ve had in Hunza. The breakfast was especially good, and the food overall was superb. It’s in the heart of the community, away from the busy tourist areas, so you get a feel for the real Hunza. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely return. 🥰

There were serious hygiene problems. I found wrappers in the washroom, the sanitary fixture was broken, and the bedsheets had hair and lots of dirt on them. There were also many electricity and internet issues. I really can’t recommend it.
