Royal Suites Hotel

I spent six months at this hotel for work. It was safe, clean, dependable, and about what I'd expect from a standard mid-range place. The basic, functional room had a good bed, work desk, stable Wi-Fi, and a small fridge, useful for a long stay. Housekeeping came regularly and did a decent job cleaning and replacing towels and toiletries. Service was steady, though there wasn't much variety or change. Laundry was usually reliable but sometimes delayed. Maintenance requests were handled, not always promptly, but nothing major remained unresolved. The front desk managed check-ins, check-outs, and questions in a timely, professional way. They weren't especially friendly or personal, but they were reliable and available when needed. After a while, a few staff members recognized me, which was a small, welcome personal touch. The restaurant served much the same menu for most of my stay. The food was average, and although the breakfast buffet was consistent and helped start the day, I sometimes wanted more variety or fresher options after months of similar meals. It wasn't luxurious or particularly personalized, but it served its purpose for a short visit or longer accommodation if you don't expect high-end service.

I live in Kaibo, so I can only speak about the restaurant. It used to be one of my favorites, but we won't go back after today. My Chicken Cobb Salad looked great when it arrived, but it was supposed to have fresh grilled chicken and tomatoes. There were no tomatoes, and the chicken was cold from the refrigerator, not grilled or even hot. I don't normally send food back here in the Philippines, but I had to. I asked for a manager, owner, or supervisor and was told nobody was available. They took the salad back and brought another one with tomato and hot grilled chicken. It also had a big cockroach leg in it. I felt like throwing up and told them to forget it. My wife and daughter weren't impressed with their soup either.

A great experience and a great place.

A lift is available for anyone who can't manage stairs. The staff were very helpful, and the rooms are simple, clean, and good for a middle-class budget. We got a room with one double bed, one single bed, and an extra cushion for four people, for 4K only. Very affordable.
