Divine Hotel

We had booked a VIP room for two nights, but the place was such a mess that I left the money there and rushed off to book an apartment with Defence Executive Apartments. The lifts weren't working, so we had to use the stairs from the fourth floor. The master bed fan and bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, and five of the eight plugs were dead. The sticky partition in the long room was hard to push, the curtains were dirty, the furniture old, and the room hadn't been dusted, cleaned, or checked. The only usable view window was oily and blurry from neglect. Room service felt like dhaba style hotels. Restaurant plates had old stains that we had to scrub off ourselves with wet tissues and our fingers. Then they started woodwork and tile installation in rooms below us that morning, with constant thudding and drilling. The TV was third class Chinese, with third class cable TV: 120 channels, about 90 of them cable-owned channels running below-the-belt ads. This was my first and last stay at a hotel owned by an ex-military person. Either he is too clever or too naive. Don't trust people's fake reviews. I had a great experience with this guest house and felt comfortable there. I'm ashamed of people who have rated it badly. Some people come with bad intentions, and when the management prohibits them, they leave negative ratings. My own experience with Mr. Rashid was great. He's very kind and down to earth.

I went by myself and felt comfortable throughout my stay. Whenever I called, no matter what time it was, they helped with whatever I needed, including getting supplies from outside. Zafar bhai was especially helpful. At first the AC had a slight issue, but when I told the front desk, they immediately moved me to another room. The service was so good, I'd recommend it. Best in this price range, with a superb location.
