The room was spacious, very clean, and nicely arranged, with a clear focus on cleanliness. I also felt safe and relaxed the whole time, which matters most to me as a female traveler. New Shelton Guest House was wonderful and memorable, unlike other places I’ve stayed in Islamabad. From the start, the staff were polite, professional, and welcoming, so I felt comfortable right away. The location made it easy to get to nearby areas, and service was quick and efficient. Any request I made was handled promptly and professionally. I had a very positive and satisfying stay. I’d definitely return and strongly recommend it to families and female travelers visiting Islamabad.

I’ve lost count of my stays here since 2018. There are plenty of other options nearby, but its family-friendly location, budget price, and staff service make it the first choice for people visiting Islamabad. The main drawback is the washrooms, which need upgrading. Small issues there leave a bad taste in a guest house, though everything else on my checklist is acceptable.

The bathroom flush didn’t work, and the toiletries were low quality, just a small soap and a shampoo sachet. Hygiene overall was bad. The bedding was dirty, the quilts were stained and in terrible condition, and the mattresses were torn and appeared to have been bitten by mice. Definitely not recommended.

The location made getting around Islamabad easy, with attractions and good places to eat nearby in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. Staff were available with transport help and suggestions, which let me explore at my own pace. I slept well in the comfortable bed, and my spacious room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. From arrival, I was met with warm hospitality and a real effort to make the stay enjoyable. I'd recommend this guest house for a peaceful, luxurious visit, whether for work or leisure.
