Sunrise Guest House E-11/2 Islamabad

The rooms are lovely and thoughtfully decorated, and the owner is a very well-mannered woman. The staff were nice, the serving style was good, and the modern cutlery was clean. They even made me tea while I waited for the chef, who doesn’t arrive until 10, so breakfast wasn’t available before then. There are some real drawbacks. The place feels like it’s still under construction, and there’s no UPS or generator, so a blackout leaves you sitting in the dark. The water also stops at night. The menu is mostly desi food and isn’t very interesting, though the breakfast options are better. I couldn’t get Nestle yogurt, there’s no nearby shop for things like that, and shisha wasn’t available when I asked. It’s a nice place if all you want is somewhere to stay. With a few improvements, it could be one of the best. I’m sure the owner will read this and make some changes. I hope my next review is better.

For an economical stay around Rawalpindi and Islamabad, this is a solid choice. The rooms, food, and general atmosphere are all appropriate for the price. A good option.
