Grand One Hotel Faisal Town

The place was dirty and unhygienic, and breakfast came on chipped crockery. Laundry service was pathetic too. A very bad experience all around, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The washrooms weren’t comfortable, and the mattress was in poor shape. Deluxe rooms have just one light, so they stay gloomy. The rooms are somewhere in the middle, neither especially cozy nor terrible, but the hotel needs a full revamp to attract more guests.

The location worked well for expats, with a money exchange right next door, and I had a great stay. It’s a good hotel if you’re travelling alone or with friends. Management could freshen up the rooms with a few small touches, and it would be better to have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms for families.

The room and bathroom were clean, which is a real plus for a hotel in this price range. But the service was pathetic. The AC leaked onto my mattress, and I spent a night uncomfortable while calling room service. Nobody came to fix it or offer another bed or room. They only became nice once they realized I’d be staying longer and they could fit in more guests. It felt like money was all that mattered. The whole building also has no windows or ventilation. For the price, it wasn’t good.
