Star Hotel

We booked a family deluxe room for three through Agoda, but the owner gave us a room with two king-sized beds. These practices are unprofessional. They need to be honest with customers.

The staff were polite, attentive, and ready to help, and the restaurant had good food with local and international dishes. Room service was available too. The rooms were modestly decorated but clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and minibars. There are different room options for different budgets. Star Hotel in Gulberg is in the heart of Lahore, with easy access to malls, restaurants, and major landmarks. It’s convenient for business trips or tourism. It doesn’t have luxurious amenities, but the prices are affordable, and the service is reliable. A practical, no-frills place with comfortable rooms and good value.

I stayed here with friends, and we made the mistake of paying in advance. The first day, we were without electricity all day, and management didn’t have a generator. Then the whole hotel lost water. We couldn’t even use it in the bathroom or wash our faces. The bedsheets and pillows were dirty, and there were pan stains on the walls. Gulberg is the only good thing about this hotel. It’s the worst place I’ve stayed, I’d give it zero or negative stars if that were an option.

There were stains on the walls that looked like bodily fluids, and a centipede crawled over the bed at night. The tap water smelled like sewage, the washroom was only about two feet in size, and the rooms and overall place were filthy. It looked nothing like the pictures. They cooked breakfast outdoors and left the cookware out in the open. They also switched off the AC and blamed load shedding. Never go there.
