Hotel New Star

I was there for almost five days. Parking is a real plus, with shade over it, and having a kitchen is handy. The rooms are pretty average for the price, though what you get depends on how much you pay. Even at the top price, the room still feels normal for that bracket.

The staff were pleasant, especially the receptionist, and management and staff responded quickly to fix what they could. That's why I gave it two stars. Without them, I'd give the place just one. Management said the problems should be fixed by my next visit. There are a lot of things to sort out under the new management. My room had no locks, no hot water, old plumbing, and a clogged bathroom that smelled terrible. There was no heating or air conditioning, and the view was poor, with construction materials everywhere. Breakfast was a letdown too. The omelette was very oily, the parathas came cold, and my tea was made with sugar even though I asked for it without. It wasn't very hot either.

The guest house had a decent, well-managed atmosphere, with qualified staff and suitable services. It also felt like one of the better family options, with security, and the costs were low.

I stayed just one night and moved elsewhere the next morning. There weren't proper door locks, room service was poor, and the atmosphere wasn't good. Only one person was serving, and breakfast wasn't included in the room price.
