Space Hotel Shigar

The rooms were comfortable and clean, with an amazing view. Hot water was only available in the morning. You shouldn’t compare this place with Sarena and similar hotels because the rates are very different. The hospitality was above par. Everyone was humble, from the staff to the owner. When my son wanted to make breakfast himself in the kitchen, the staff welcomed him warmly. The owner even invited us to his home in Shigar Valley for high-tea. The best place you can find in Shigar to stay.

The hotel looks good overall, but the rooms need a lot more maintenance. With attention to the building’s interior, it could be the best place in Shigar. Room service had some flaws, hot water wasn’t available 24/7, and the sheets weren’t very clean. The sofas in the sitting area were almost broken.

The views were so beautiful that I’d still stay at Space Hotel if I returned to Shigar. The grounds and gardens are huge, and the staff helped us really well. It gets very cold at night, so we had a bonfire and BBQ party. The rooms are nice and small, but could be cleaner. There are no intercoms, and for anything you need to place or any service, you have to walk all the way to reception, which is a little far from the rooms.

It’s outside Shigar, in a scenic, beautiful spot. There aren’t any nearby dhabaas, food stalls, or hotels. The hotel’s food is good, but you have to order in advance because management needs to go to the market to get things. Overall, a good place to stay.
