Right in the city center on the main road, this place has a lovely mountain view from the first and second floor balconies. The staff are very cooperative, and room service is available. The carpeted rooms are neat and clean, and both rooms and corridors get vacuumed every day. WiFi is available, and the restaurant serves all kinds of dishes 24/7.

The food and service here are some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant in Baltistan. Their barbeque is outstanding, and the service was extremely good. Shujaat was especially nice to me and took care of all my requests. I also appreciate the cooperative management at red sun hotel.

We tried the chicken karahi here last year, from the Asian/Pakistani menu, and it tasted pretty authentic. One full karahi had enough gravy for five people. The spices were well blended, and they were careful with the oil too, which is a rare combination of desi things done right in one place. I’d put it ahead of most restaurants and hotels, though it isn’t the best.

I stayed for five days last month. The rooms were very clean, and the price was really low compared with other hotels in Skardu. The food they served was tasty and hygienic too.
