Kaktusik is a unique spot and one to visit if you’re in Augustów. The gardens are lovely, with flowers everywhere, and dinner was fantastic. I tried their new #7 pizza with white sauce, sautéed onions and sliced ham. Later that summer in Italy, I found the crust tasted just the same as Kaktusik’s. I’d also had their traditional Polish dishes before, and those were spectacular too. Kaktusik has a few boutique hotel rooms if you need somewhere to stay. It’s in a great location across from the Netta River, about a seven-minute walk from the city center. There are several playgrounds for kids of different ages, plus a few arcade games, including air hockey. After a long trip to Augustów, it’s a nice place to stop and relax. There’s nowhere else like it in town.

A beautiful, amazing place with fresh, homemade food and excellent service. The forno di pietra makes very good Neapolitan pizza, and there’s a saona hot and cold spa.

That was the best pizza I’ve ever had. The place is beautiful, and you can taste the Italian ingredients and the care in the way Polish hands put it all together.

We came for lunch as four people, and the food arrived fairly quickly. The staff checked on us often and cleared away dishes, and I have no complaints about the food. I’ve read reports of forgotten orders, so maybe that happens sometimes, but nobody was unfriendly to us. When I read complaints, I do wonder whether some guests arrive expecting to be treated like a king.
