Hampton by Hilton Krakow Airport

We chose this for our last night in Krakow before an early flight. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable, the temperature in the room was just right, and the soundproofing kept nearby air traffic out. We slept well, and the bath was especially welcome after a cold day. Breakfast was decent, even early in the morning. It’s priced well compared with nearby hotels, but it’s a different property from the Hilton Garden Inn opposite the terminal. This one is farther away, about a 20-minute walk or 6 minutes by car or shuttle. Taxis are easy to get, and the free shuttle to the airport worked well for us. Our car drop-off happened to be right across from the hotel, just a two-minute walk. There aren’t food options within walking distance, so without a car you’ll probably use the restaurant, which was OK. We’d stay again for an airport stopover.

The breakfast was amazing, definitely recommend it. The hotel itself was clean, warm, and nice, and the staff welcomed us well. I gave the location five stars for anyone happy to stay near the Krakow terminal. A train gets you to the center in 20 minutes for 60pln. Drinks and restaurant prices at the hotel are really high, but apart from that it was perfect.

The staff were nice, and breakfast was OK, with some local products as well as the famous Hilton waffles. As a Gold Hilton member, we were welcomed with two snacks of our choice and chocolates in the room. I could also choose my room ahead of time in the Hilton app. The hotel was clean and very nice, about a 10-minute walk from the main airport terminal. I’d come back if I needed somewhere near the airport.

We waited two hours for a burger and club sandwich, and the food was average at best. It took 30 minutes just for anyone to take our order, so we had to find the waitress ourselves. We’d ordered a cheese platter and chocolate cake too, but with an early flight coming up, we asked how much longer. She didn’t apologize and said, “it’s not my fault.” We were told it would be another 17 minutes, so we canceled dessert and went to bed. Given the location, there aren’t realistic nearby alternatives for food or services, so eating at the restaurant felt unavoidable. The hotel is advertised as an “airport hotel,” which is misleading. It isn’t at the airport, and that’s confusing because the actual airport hotel is also a Hilton. The place feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. The air was terrible, with a constant smell of burning or pollution even in the room. It woke me during the night, and I was coughing up black residue in the morning. The ventilation clearly didn’t keep outside pollution out. Our super king room was generally clean, but very small, barely leaving room to open a suitcase. The shower head had brown residue on it, which isn’t what I expect from a Hilton-standard hotel. We also couldn’t cast to the TV, which uses an old LG “Hospitality mode.”
