Pałac i Folwark Galiny

The staff and their care made this stay feel special from beginning to end. As a solo traveller from Australia arriving by public transport, I was nervous at first, but reception kept in touch before, during and even after my visit, and I felt reassured. Thomas and Sylwia were especially proactive, checking what I needed and suggesting ways to enjoy my time. Sledding down the snowy hill was a highlight. I had heavy luggage after travelling for months, so their help getting me to my room and arranging a taxi pickup there on departure day made a big difference in the snow. They also arranged a breakfast box without me asking and fitted riding lessons into two days instead of four because my schedule was limited. The wait staff were warm and thoughtful too. You could feel how much people cared about their work and guests. The riding experience was wonderful. The horses were magnificent and well cared for, and my trainers Maya and Martina gave structured lessons with useful, immediate feedback and cues. At the stable, Agga and Justina were always helpful, smiling, and respectful toward the horses. The food was perfect for me, from the presentation and seasoning to the taste and texture. Breakfast had plenty of fresh choices, dinners were traditional, and there was a wide selection of local and traditional drinks. Every bite and sip felt like heaven. The palace setting has historic charm, while the main restaurant and building feel cozy and relaxing. English acoustic music played, and the central fireplace was especially inviting in the cold winter weather, around -15 degrees and getting colder when I left. We had candlelit dinners, and the wood design was lovely and carefully thought out. My room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and warm, with good insulation, heating, oak and wood furniture, and a lovely view of the palace. The style felt vintage but still modern. The pillows were a little too soft, but that wasn’t a big deal. There are two adorable house cats roaming the grounds, and one liked to curl up near the fireplace. I also loved seeing a greyhound sleeping on a bed beside its dining owners, tucked under a blanket. There’s a kids’ room and a mini animal farm, though I didn’t visit the farm. I’d love to bring my niece, nephews, and dog next time. This was my first visit to Poland, after Warsaw and Krakow, and the people, culture, and food left a lasting impression. Galiny Palace gave me one of the most relaxing and magical experiences of my life. I found the place through horseridngholidays.com and am so glad I did.
