The food was such a pleasant surprise. We tried some interesting dishes that could easily have been served on Masterchef, and we hadn’t had fried eggs this good in ages, even though we travel a lot. We regretted eating in the city centre because the hotel food was so much better. The two ladies we met were extremely kind, splitting their time between reception and serving in the restaurant. We’d been a little cautious when we arrived, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. The only small issue was a smell of smoke in the room, apparently left by previous guests. We had to keep the window open, but in the morning the noise and light made that uncomfortable. Otherwise, I’d gladly come back another time.

The smorgasbord was pretty good, but unfortunately the rest wasn’t. There was a strange stink in the suite when I walked in, apparently coming from the bathroom. It was freezing in there even though the heater was turned all the way up. I expected the room to warm up overnight, but it didn’t, and I caught a chill early the next morning. Opening the windows to air it out twice didn’t get rid of the smell either.

For the location, the clean air-conditioned rooms, helpful staff, and nice breakfast with espresso machine coffee, I’d give it five stars. It was surprisingly nice. Just don’t expect Hilton standards.

The location is amazing, right in the centre, and the hotel is good. It may be a little expensive for such a small town. The shower cabin could also feel a bit small for larger people.

All in all, a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and pleasant, with air conditioning, and breakfast is very nice. The hotel employees are helpful and friendly.
