Pod Wierchem

We won’t be coming back. The living room was freezing, and the little heater barely helped. It was cold at night too, there was no hairdryer, and breakfast wasn’t good. Parking was a real struggle because there’s so little space. The owner didn’t seem interested in the guests.

The fireplace room was a real letdown. It’s meant to be a place for guests and kids to relax, play games, and have fun, but it felt neglected, and I wouldn’t feel safe leaving children there alone. The billiard table and cues were in awful shape: the cue tips were missing, the table was broken, the ball catcher had nails sticking out, and the bridles were torn off. The ping-pong table was broken too, with smashed paddles, and the children’s corner wasn’t any better. Still, the service at Pod Wierchem Guesthouse was fantastic. The manager was kind and helpful, and the cook was a real pro. Breakfasts were delicious and healthy, and the buffet was laid out beautifully. I’d recommend the guesthouse for its wonderful staff.

I booked more than a month ahead, but the day before my stay the guesthouse changed my dates without asking or consulting me. That caused a lot of trouble and made planning my trip difficult, especially with such short notice. The staff also didn’t communicate with me and showed no regard for my plans. I was very disappointed with this service and can’t recommend Pod Wierchem. I won’t stay there again.

The owner was dependable and friendly, and the staff kept things to a high standard. Everyone was helpful and welcoming, and both the breakfast and the products were excellent. The bathrooms were clean and the whole place smelled fresh. One of my most enjoyable trips. I’d recommend Pod Wierchem Guesthouse to anyone.
