We needed a place for a short stay, and the location worked perfectly. The hotel has a vintage, classy feel, and the host was very friendly with perfect English. It's about a 15-minute walk into town, where we found some outstanding local restaurants. 10/10, would recommend stopping by if you're in the area and want a beautiful place to stay.

The property has charm, and the location works well if you have a car. Parking is free, the garden is big enough for the kids to play in, and a staff member showed them the rabbits. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Bedroom number 1 was noisy, and there were no blackout curtains. Cleanliness was the main problem for me. I felt allergic in the bedroom, where dust seemed to be everywhere, including under the beds and along the wall edges. With all the carpets and velvet in this old place, it needs a deeper clean now and then. Some of the furniture could use repairs too. I wouldn't stay again, though I wouldn't completely discourage others from trying it.

The garden around the hotel was peaceful, a lovely spot to sit and read, and the room was spacious and adorable with an updated bathroom. We spent one night here. Staff were very nice, and breakfast was included in a large, beautiful room separate from the restaurant. Dinner at the restaurant was very, very good. It's a quiet area a little outside the city center, but still walkable, about 25 minutes away.

The hotel has a distinctive decor and has kept its original classic style. Lighting is sensor controlled, and it can be quite dark both inside and out. Parking was free. The furniture is aged but clean and in okay condition, though the beds were very soft. I think the same kind person checked me in, served me in the restaurant and prepared an evening meal. I had chicken breast with fries and salad, which was okay. A special experience overall.
