Hotel Magellan

The forest setting is lovely, with a lake within walking distance, and it's a peaceful spot to unwind. The hotel feels dated, like something from the 90s, and could use some maintenance. Our room was clean, but the walls are thin enough that we heard a TV from another room at 6 am. We couldn't get into the spa because every slot was booked from Friday through Sunday. Call well ahead if you want to use it. The pool was good, though I think bathrobes should be included for hotel guests at a spa hotel. Breakfast had a good selection. Dinner looked better than it tasted, so we ate outside the hotel.

The rooms and the rest of the hotel were really clean, and the forest location was beautiful and quiet. We had a great time relaxing by the pool and in the sauna. The food was great too. Staff were friendly, especially at the spa and fitness centre, and the beauty and health treatments were delivered to a high standard.

The spa services were okay, and breakfast was acceptable, but dinner was poor and the food quality was really bad. Other customers were complaining too, including about smelly fish. I came hoping for a relaxing weekend with a friend, but this was the worst choice. Customer service was really bad. They have a lot to learn about hospitality, and I won't be coming back. Not recommended at all.

The staff were friendly and the food was decent, but the hotel itself is old. There aren't any grocery stores or outside restaurants nearby, either.
