The bowling alley kept us entertained, since there isn't much else nearby to do. Dinner was excellent, and the staff were attentive with great customer service. The hotel itself is good. My one complaint is the beds: they were sagging and didn't offer much support, so they seem due for an update.

We stayed here for the second time in May 2014 and would come back if we travel through this area again. The cuisine is excellent, and the chef deserves special praise. Service was welcoming and very friendly, and everything was spotlessly clean. It was great value for money. Just one small minus this year: the breakfast waitress seemed eager to finish her shift as soon as possible.

The rooms were very clean, and the hotel is housed in a beautiful building with a historical style. The pool and Jakouzi were magnificent. Staff were helpful and cheerful. An excellent hotel, everything felt perfect.

The amount charged was different from the price agreed when I booked by phone. At checkout, the receptionist yelled at me when I asked to pay the original price, which was very rude. That’s not the standard I’d expect at a 4 star hotel.

Even after 18 years, the standard is still good. I highly recommend it.
