We still remember our weekend at Skalnica fondly. The owner was warm and attentive, and the room was clean and looked after; the bathroom was OK too. It's a lovely wooden house with character and a highlander spirit, with warm, pleasant decor. The ski lifts and town center are close, and the thermal baths are around a 15-minute walk away. We highly recommend Skalnica.

The rooms look out over the mountains, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. It was clean and well cared for, with a friendly owner who was happy to help. A great fit if you want that mountain feel. Highly recommended. ☺️

Our room had a kettle and dishes and was very clean, as was the shared bathroom in the hallway. There was one bathroom for each pair of rooms, and ours didn't have one inside the room. The house is just a five-minute walk from the city center. The host was friendly, helpful, and very tidy. A small kitchen would have been nice, but we had a very positive stay.

From the renovated, clean rooms and bathrooms to the easy access and welcoming hosts, the stay felt comfortable and homely. The place has an authentic highlander style and beautiful Tatra Mountain views. I highly recommend it.
