Mercure Bydgoszcz Sepia

I was looking forward to this work trip because my first stay here had been pleasant. This time, though, I won't be back. My room faced a busy street with a construction site right outside, and trams came by every five minutes. The whole room shook when they passed. It was too loud to open the windows, and even earplugs didn't make it easy to sleep with the noise and the bed shaking. The air conditioning wasn't working, either. With summer weather and the windows shut, the room was too warm. Reception told me it was being fixed, but said the room still wouldn't get cold. I couldn't see how that solved the problem. There's also almost no Wi-Fi signal in my room, and the lighting is extremely dim, especially in the bathroom. Shaving or doing makeup would be difficult without bringing a flashlight. The hotel does have things I like: it's generally very clean, the location works for me, and breakfast is okay, good enough though not amazing. This was my second stay, and it'll be my last.

The bed was so comfortable, and the hotel is a great base for seeing Bydgoszcz old town. Sandra at the bar was a real highlight, friendly and ready to help with anything. I was highly impressed and loved my stay.

We liked the terrace, and the sauna looked really great, though we didn't get to try it. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, a big TV and plenty of storage. The location is great too, close to all the major attractions.

I spent four weeks at this hotel in Poland and really enjoyed the stay. Everything went smoothly, the staff were super friendly and breakfast was great. I was completely satisfied and would happily return.
