The shower was mouldy, the sink was blocked, and using it sent dirty water gushing back up. The bathroom was smaller than my wardrobe from JYSK, and the towels were hand-towel sized. Inside the room there was one pillow, which barely counted as one, and one toilet roll for two people for four days. The lights didn't work, and getting there meant climbing four steep flights of stairs. From the moment we arrived, the stay put a damper on the whole holiday. It was absolutely horrific. If there had been a no-star option, I'd have chosen it. The beds may as well have been in prison.

Location was the only good thing about the stay. The room was dirty, smelly, and poor, and the price wasn't even cheap, so beware. We complained to the owner when we arrived and were moved to a second “suite,” which was just as unhygienic. That one had cold tap water and smelled of sewage. We promptly reported the problems and missing items, but got no response. At breakfast the next morning, the business shark asked, “Are you the one who's responsible for the cold water?” Apparently that's standard here. I was shocked that this could happen in the 21st century. It seems the esteemed shark has the same standards at home. And to use the dishwasher, you have to open the door to the “suite” first :D. My mistake was booking without reading the reviews.

We stayed in the Oriental Suite, and the room's decor was nice. It was clean, the linens smelled fresh, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and approachable, and management gave guests plenty of freedom. Breakfast was delicious and included in our room rate, served at a nearby restaurant. Everything is close by. The room started out cool, but adjusting the heating warmed it up. We rented a room in a tenement building, so it had that characteristic smell, but it didn't bother us.

The location was very convenient, the place was quiet, radiators were warm, and there was hot water. Breakfast was quite good, though the coffee was just Nescafe from a jar. The price was good. The layout was odd for an advertised three-room apartment: three bedrooms, a hallway kitchenette, and a bathroom, but no chair or living room. The kitchen had enough equipment for only one person despite sleeping six, and the refrigerator was missing its freezer door. The booking photos showed Mill Island, but the actual view was a tenement wall with windows about 5 meters away.
