This place has been everything: a guesthouse, general store, beer dive, pharmacy, gym, swimming pool, and “apartments” for sale. In the ranking of the ugliest buildings in Białogóra, it’s right near the top!

The garden was one of the best parts for me: it’s beautifully looked after, with shelters and benches, a little gym, bike rack and swings. There’s a shared barbecue in the middle, and the hosts even treated everyone to sausages and black pudding one day. Parking is limited, but the owner found safe spots right by the entrance. The rooms felt cramped, though the price was fair. Breakfast was generous, varied and really tasty, while the coffee and tea were so cheap-tasting that a decent machine would make a difference. The owners were polite, but I didn’t like that they blocked access to a reliable TV news channel that’s become more popular lately, using a PIN so it couldn’t be programmed. The location may suit some people better than others. I’d still recommend the place.

The garden is spacious and tidy, parking is on site, and the staff were friendly. My room was clean with fresh linens, though both it and the bathroom were small. Breakfast was tasty and filling, but exactly the same each day, so a changing salad or another little variation would help. There was no soap or hand towel in the bathroom, and the room had just one outlet in an awkward spot. Still, it’s good value, and if I’m back in Białogóra, I’d consider staying at the Villa again.
