St. George Family & Senior Spa Ciechocinek

The food was a real treat at every meal, and the spa was exactly the kind of relaxing break I needed. Staff were great and there whenever I needed them. I’m so glad I picked St. George for my getaway. I’m planning to return, recommend it to my friends, and try more of the spa treatments next time.

The spa-town setting is still a dream for me as someone with asthma, with its graduation towers, brine fountains, and parks. But my May 2026 stay at St. George Hotel in Ciechocinek was miserable. The smell from the communist-era carpets stayed with me, and with asthma for over 30 years, I felt worse instead of healthier. I had to leave three days early and never really enjoyed the stay. I asked to change rooms on the first day and was told it wasn't possible because I'd booked through agents on Booking.com rather than directly, supposedly at a cheaper rate, and that guests like me get different rooms. I can't understand being treated as a different kind of customer when my money had been in use for five months. The food was a disaster too. Breakfast never changed, and dinner started at 4 p.m. and was only warm. Dessert was a baked apple or a tiny piece of cake, and almost every day it was first come, first served, so there wasn't enough for everyone. There wasn't even a slice of bread. Mrs. Diana, I wouldn't set foot in this hotel again, even for free.
