Hotel Amber Port

Everything was great, from the staff and food to the cleaning. We had a good time and will come again :))

The one bright spot was getting the deposit back the next day. Otherwise, I’m outraged. Our stay was meant to begin on March 2nd of this year, but four days before arrival, on Thursday, I got a call saying technical issues meant they had to cancel. They offered to move the date or refund the deposit. I explained that changing dates was impossible because I couldn’t rearrange my vacation with my employer, and I’d already bought train tickets. They said the tickets could be rebooked, but not for the price I’d paid. We were left without accommodation at the last minute and had to find somewhere else ourselves. If I’d canceled my trip 14 days or less beforehand, the hotel wouldn’t have refunded my deposit, yet they can cancel bookings without consequences and don’t seem to care about customers. I won’t recommend this place, and I’ll discourage others from going. I won’t book here again.

The town is charming and quiet, close to the sea, and you can bring your beloved dog. We’ll definitely return. There’s a well-equipped playroom for younger children, plus a pool with clean, warm water that you can use without limits, along with the sauna and brine cave. The meals were outstanding. We stayed on Christmas Day, and the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and there was so much variety and quantity. The room was top-notch, though the industrial port hotel’s appearance is a matter of taste. The cleaning ladies were helpful and kind, the atmosphere was friendly, and the staff were always ready to help. The receptionist was especially polite and kind, arranging fun things for the kids, like basket-making classes, movies, and other activities, and was always available.

We’ve been here five times now, and everything is as described. The hotel is intimate, with a pool, sauna, and salt cave, and there’s a very good playroom for children. The meal plan has changed: breakfast, lunch with soup and a main course, then dinner. There are massage chairs on every floor, and they look new. The place has clearly been refreshed, and the hotel is run with passion. Great hotel.
