Vital&Spa Resort Szarotka

I stopped in for food after skiing and ordered the tortellini. It was a terrible choice: 29 zlt for just six small tortellinis on a plate. The place looks nice, but I wouldn't go there to eat. The lady who served me gave me a nasty look because I wasn't speaking Polish.

For hiking or biking on your own, this is a lovely area, with well-marked, picturesque trails. The resort has a spacious, airy terrace, and the restaurant is cozy and serves very tasty food. The spa is also cozy, with professional staff, and the receptionists are the nicest and most helpful people here. In winter, I imagine the area is great for snowboarding and skiing. In summer, there isn't much going on nearby, so you can relax at the spa or travel to local attractions. The rooms, though, felt old-fashioned. Our sofa bed was in poor enough condition that we couldn't use it, and the furniture was old and well worn. The rooms didn't all seem to match the high standard shown in the booking.com photos. The swimming pool is small and usually too busy for swimming, and there's just one jacuzzi, which was busy most of the time. The resort itself is quite large.

We were satisfied with our stay. The hotel has wellness facilities and is close to the ski slopes. Room sizes vary, and ours was on the smaller side, though sufficient, with a few minor flaws. There's a large restaurant with an outdoor terrace, good quality food, and helpful staff. Their own confectionery products were excellent.

We went on a Friday afternoon during peak winter season, and the spa wasn't crowded. We left feeling relaxed and really enjoyed our stay. In our private room, we had a steam sauna, shower, large bath, and massage beds for two. We spent an hour in the sauna and bath with wine, fresh fruit, and cheese, then had a full-body massage together. There's also a small swimming pool and hot tub in the spa, with a nice view of the ski area. The place was very clean, warm, and pleasant, and the staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. If you're hungry or fancy a good coffee, I'd recommend the hotel restaurant, too.
