Loft Rooms

The owner was easy to reach, and the location put us near plenty of interesting places. The stay was okay, but a number of things were disappointing. The parking listing said free private parking with no advance reservation. What we found was a few resident spaces behind the building, all taken when we arrived. That doesn’t feel like private parking, and support later agreed it should be described as parking near the check-in location instead. The neighborhood also felt rough, which made leaving the car there worrying. That isn’t the owner’s fault, but I wish it had been mentioned. The room looked larger in the photos. It had basic kitchen items, but the only table had very little usable surface. The carpeted floor dipped in spots, so watch your step. The bathroom had a persistent bad smell and a sticky floor. Toiletries were listed, but we found two toilet rolls, one already about two-thirds used, and a men’s shower gel bottle with only about a third left, probably from previous guests. There’s no point listing those as amenities if they aren’t actually provided. I’d have brought my own if I’d known. Payment was only possible by BLIK or directly to the owner’s account, not through Booking. That felt risky, since if something went wrong, Booking staff probably couldn’t get our money back.

The good thing is the location, with the lake about a 10-minute walk away. The room itself was small, and the photos made it seem like every room had a kitchenette, but apparently that isn’t the case. It also wasn’t very clean: the windows were dirty, and you’re better off not checking under the mattress, even if something drops there. The duvet and pillow covers were synthetic and didn’t breathe at night. There’s a building next door with a refrigeration unit running 24 hours a day, and the constant noise was especially annoying at night.

I had a kitchenette in my room, which made a longer stay much easier, and the kitchen was really well equipped. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the owner was very friendly 😊 The area wasn’t very pleasant, and it was a little cold inside. Maybe that’s just old buildings 🙂 I’d happily stay again 😊

I’ve been coming back for three years and always leave happy. The owner is so kind and takes care of everything. Check-in is quick, the rooms are clean, and they smell lovely as soon as you walk in. It’s quiet around here, and I’ve never been disappointed. I wholeheartedly recommend it ❤️
