The apartment looked nice and renovated inside, but so many things went wrong during our three-day stay that the potential didn’t make up for it. The first impression was awful: a shabby apartment building that looked like it was from the communist era. The stairwell smelled of cigarettes and alcohol, and we saw people drinking at almost every turn. We got a code for the key box, which held two keys and a barrier remote. Neither key fit the upper door lock. Staff were no help and told us "it's impossible." We had to force the door to get in, then learned the upper lock hadn’t been used at all. After we locked the door from inside, it got stuck and wouldn’t open. We had to force it again, ripping off the latch in the process. It turned out the latch had no screws securing it. We couldn’t leave because the door wouldn’t close. A technician arrived about two hours later and urgently re-drilled the latch, so we could finally get out. There were other problems too. The living room had no curtains or blinds, so the sun woke the third person in our group at 5-6 a.m., and watching TV was difficult. The sofa bed had a stain and clearly wasn’t clean. A screw was missing from the loose shower handle, so it kept falling off. The kitchen faucet splashed water over the counter, and we had to keep the pressure very low to avoid flooding it. Maybe the apartments in the newer building are better, but this one didn’t meet our expectations. The door problems, broken lock, and stairwell all spoiled the experience. Address: Hallera 235. On the plus side, shops were nearby, including Biedronka, Żabka, and a bakery, and the sea was a short distance away.
