Driving in and out was stressful every time, and the people around us, including dog owners and their dogs, seemed unusually rude and aggressive. The place also felt very cold and damp, apparently because it used to be a swamp, and that humidity was awful. There isn’t a single grocery shop, not even a Żabka. Lild is a 15-minute walk away. We still can’t believe we lived there. Be aware.
Noclegi renters has an excellent 24-hour phone service, and I want to thank them for being such a great company. We stayed in the Sloneczna 1 complex, Katowice Apartments, a beautiful, cheerful place in a nice neighborhood. It’s pet-friendly and convenient for young couples and a small family with one or two kids.
A really lovely, fully equipped apartment in a quiet, if rather block-like, complex. Communication with the owner was excellent.
I’ve lived here since 2019 as a co-owner, not a renter. The estate looks like a prettier Żabianka, but has no shops or services, which is unacceptable for such a large development and makes everyday life much less comfortable. Idea EuroStyl seems much better in that respect. The developer focused on maximizing the number of apartments, preferably small ones for rent, and there are thefts on the estate too often. The only real advantages are the location near a park and woods, and access to the SKM and tram.
The location near the SKM station, Oliwa Park, and a forest is well connected, but after two years my view of the estate has changed a lot. There are many rental flats, so unfamiliar people are always coming and going. The developer forced a property manager on the residents, and there are constant problems with the management. The design is plain and doesn’t suit Oliwa. With all the right angles and parallel lines, the layout feels like a concentration camp, and people can see straight into each other’s windows. There are no services nearby. Within a kilometer there’s only a station and a liquor store. The developer promised a service building, then changed his mind while keeping the same price. The nearest supermarket takes over ten minutes to walk to. The building was meant to block noise from Grunwaldzka Street, but construction next door is already in its third year and will go on for years. Since the pandemic and changes in work, the estate’s main advantage has disappeared. I definitely wouldn’t buy here again, or in another development by this developer.
