Villa Asesor

Good stay! There was tea and coffee in the room. It’s close to the road and airport, but I didn’t notice the noise.

Small, clean room, but enough space for a few days. Breakfast was great.

The phone service was incredibly rude: she kept raising her voice, interrupting me, and hanging up. As for the booking, I had clearly requested two single beds, but that room wasn’t available. The woman renting the property seems not to know how Booking.com works, as many comments here suggest. She insisted I send a screenshot of the request, which I’ve never had to do with other Booking.com owners. I expect she’ll reply to this review by saying I manipulated the screenshot. You can decide for yourself who to believe.

This was shocking. We were on a tight budget and in a hurry to find somewhere new, after the owner called us on the way to say we’d have a single bed for the first night and only get a two-bed room from the second day. We’d booked a room with two single beds, and when we pointed that out, she said she hadn’t received the information, though it should have been in the order details. We showed her the booking confirmation screenshot, but she wouldn’t admit the mistake. Instead, she blamed us for not sending it sooner, was rude, hung up on us, and said she didn’t want us there anymore. She eventually agreed to a free cancellation, but had trouble confirming it on Booking.com, so we had to search for somewhere else in a rush. I travel a lot and have never run into anything like this. As someone who rents out my own place, I’m disgusted by how this was handled. This person clearly has an issue with Booking.com and responds to problems with rudeness instead of an apology. Avoid if you don’t want your stay in Gdańsk spoiled. The other Google reviews say a lot, too.
