The room was clean, affordable, and had everything within reach. It was close to the beach, shops, and places to eat. They explained everything and showed us around. The door gave us some trouble, but we got it open pretty quickly.

The doors didn't shut properly, and it was difficult to get in touch with the owner. The beds creaked, and the building seems in need of renovation. I think there are better hostels to choose from in Gdynia, so I wouldn't recommend this one.

The location is great, but that's the one thing I liked. The photos don't match what the hostel is actually like. The email didn't say which room was ours, and the directions about the keys were wrong. They were left in the door, so apparently you had to go around opening rooms and guess which one was yours. The bathroom was in very poor condition. I know cleanliness can depend partly on who's staying there, but the dirt and pieces coming loose are the owner's responsibility. There weren't even basic supplies like toilet paper. It never appeared during my stay, from beginning to end, even though the woman preparing the room for the next guests came by.

Today the hostel administrator took my belongings from my room and moved them to his own room, mocking me. I called him and he answered; I also called the police, and he answered then too. The police said that if he didn't return my things tomorrow, he'd have to write a statement. I don't recommend this hostel.
