I was glad to find the reception open when I arrived around midnight. They got me into my room quickly and arranged a taxi for the next morning, which I really appreciated. The room was plain but roomy and clean. The bathroom was compact, though modern and perfectly adequate, and they had left water bottles. I was very happy with my night there.

The lobby restaurant was a real highlight, with great desserts and a good breakfast. The rooms are fairly small, and there’s no air conditioning. The building feels a bit maze-like, too. It has two elevators, which seemed odd since the main one wouldn’t take you to the gym and sauna.

The location made it easy to get to Gdansk main train station, and the clean, spacious rooms were a pleasure. I hadn’t expected service and facilities at this level. The pool and sauna were a welcome addition, and the staff were excellent, easily in line with a four or even five star hotel. Breakfast had an amazing spread.

This was my second work trip staying here. It’s in a great spot, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were decent, too.

The restaurant did a lovely included breakfast, with hot and cold choices and Polish specialities. We also had dinner there, and both the cod and ribs were delicious. Our room felt new, was clean, and was great to stay in. After a puncture, Monica at reception helped us through the hassle of ordering a new tire for our car. It wasn’t easy without speaking Polish, but she made several calls for us. Such a relief. The hotel was a gem, and we’ll certainly stay at Antares next time we’re in Gdynia. Two stars doesn’t do it justice, it ought to have four!
